EVA Tools Checker Utility
Hello fellow tech's,
I am a contractor and have been assigned task to resolve 'Phone-Home' feature on EVA. I am looking for 'EVA Tools Checker Utility' for diagnosis. Currently running following:
Win 2003 Sever
CV EVA v9.1.0.17
HP WEBES 6.1
WEBES 5.6 Update 2.0
OSEM v1.4.8A
HP Insight Remote Support vA.05.50
HP Insight Management Agents v7.91.0.0
Following services are disabled: 'Wccproxy' & 'DESTA_Service' (they have to be running. I know that)
SIM/RSM Trust Relationships = (there no installed security certificates)
Application Trust Relationships = (installed security cert. 'HPEVA_SMIS_Provider')
Capture System Information = (no capture selected information is selected)
Any suggestion, documentation link, or are able to point in the right direction to get 'Phone-Home' feature working.
Thanks'
Craig

Re: EVA Tools Checker Utility
These both tools need to run. Maybe WEBES is out of date? Need to check that.
But why not upgrading to insight remote support 7.0.5?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: EVA Tools Checker Utility
You can try to update to 5.7 or 5.8 via version control. Versions 5.x are no longer on the web, there is only the newest version 7.0.5:
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=REMOTESUPPORT
Get the manuals too for install instructions!
Remember, you will need windows 2008 on the management server!
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: EVA Tools Checker Utility
I am pretty sure Version Control is not working. Who ever installed / configured the system is long gone.
HP System Mangement HomePage times out loading data and under Webapps all integrated Agents are grey.
HomePage Log reads "Major: UI Timout (limit: 20sec)" also "Warning: UI Webapps Loading timeout 20sec".
Only option I think I have is to upgrade to 5.7 since company will not allow Win OS upgrade. The current system is running Win 2003 sever SP2.
