EVA5000, MSA1500 & MSA1000 Performance monitoring
Hello,
Im fairly new to SANs but was looking for some help regarding performance monitoring. I have the HP array Diagnostics tool but cannot really understand the output. I'm looking for something shinny with graphs and the likes. our sanmanager is running w2k3.
Thanks
Graham

Re: EVA5000, MSA1500 & MSA1000 Performance monitoring
I use the following Tools/procedures:
- collect performance data with EVAPerf
- convert Logfile output with evaperf-tlviz-format.exe (you find this in the folder where EVAPerf is installed
- visualize the converted data with TLVIZ (GUI) or CSVPNG (for automating chart creation)
You will find these downloads here:
http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/t4/index.html
It also works perfect on Windows. It doesn't need OpenVMS.
There is also the possability to dump the data with TLVIZ-Format into an Microsoft Access DB. Then you could write your own Queries, Reports, etc.)
Greetings
Patrick
