I have 2 x EVA6000 using CA for data replication.
EVA01 replicates production luns on to EVA02. One way traffic. I am trying to create a new DR group for a new prod lun but find that the target destination already has luns that have the same names as the source. I know I can move these elsewhere, but (here is the question!)Will doing so upset the presentations to the servers or will the change be reflected automatically when I move these problematic luns. Or vdisks if you prefer.
Thanks in advance.
Graham

Solution
Graham,
you can rename virtual disks or you can move them withing the "\Virtual Disks" folder hierarchy and it will not change any disk presentations. Internally, the EVA uses the UUID to keep things together.
Just remember to make a new capture of the EVA configuration and that you might have to modify scripts.
