Have you checked www.hp.com/storage/spock to make sure that hour SAN switch firmware and HBA firmware/driver match what is recommended for the new EVA firmware? Also EVA drive firmware should be examined to make sure that it is current. I have heard of a case where mixed firmware in a Disk Group (not all up to date) resulted in lower performance.
