Fit a G1 I/O MSA2000 module to a G3 P2000 chassis?
Hi
I would like to extend our current MSA2000 G1 SAN setup with a new enclosure chassis.
In the past i've purchased an AJ748A – HP MSA2000 3.5in Single I/O 12 Drive Enclosure, but these don't seem available anymore.
Do I now need to buy an AP838B HP StorageWorks P2000 Modular Smart Array 3.5-inch Drive Bay Chassis, and then fit a AJ751A HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array 2000 Drive Enclosure I/O Module.
In short, can I fit a G1 I/O module to a G3 chassis?
Any help appreciated,
Andrew

Re: Fit a G1 I/O MSA2000 module to a G3 P2000 chassis?
While you can't purchase these new, have you tried after-market suppliers? I've had a lot of success with equipment from World Data Products, Ambry and ChestnutMicro. I still pay to put the equipment under our support agreement with HP, so I'm not flying without a net. That original part number you listed (AJ748A) shows as available on World Data's and Ambry's site.

@amvc You can reach out to our hp.com storage chat team - they can help you if you contact them. Another option would be to contact an SMB storage expert via 1-800-752-0900.
