HP EVA CA: DR readiness testing

Hi,

I've two basic questions regarding DR readiness testing when using CA replication.

1. Does CA have a provision to break or suspend the replication and allow the replicated devices to be read-write or read only accessible at DR site? This is like the way HTC allows to split the replication and change host access at DR site.

The usecase is to use the same replicated devices to verify data at DR site while breaking the replication temporarily. And after verification, resume/restore replication.

2. To use the point-in-time copy for data verification at DR site, should one use BC snapshot or snapclone? If I understand correctly, the snapshots are dependent copies and as the CA replicated devices are not visibile to the hosts until failover, the snapshots may not be useful. And one has to rely on snapclones which are independent copies. Is my interpretation correct?

Also if there is any best practices document for CA DR readiness testing, can you please point it to me?

Thanks and Regards,
Yojana
