HSG80 capacity

How to find the full storage disk capacity of HSG80.
Normally If I check in Hp EVA it will show me total storage disk space available, but in HSG80 is there any way or commands to check?

Re: HSG80 capacity

No, you have to add up the capacity of the disks, storagesets or units on your own.

Re: HSG80 capacity

Consider the HSGs the first of our Fiber storage controllers with many of the limitations that came with the original HSJ/HSD/HSZ families. While the controllers did have some very progressive capabilities for their time, they were also like many other "firsts" in many industries. Working directly with the controller itself is also very primitive but there were software tools available during the HSGs lifespan that could make some of your requests easier. Unfortunately, finding those tools at this time will probably prove difficult.

Most of the tools in question are no longer actively available and are out of support. StorageWorks Command Console is one example.

Re: HSG80 capacity

Hi,
Yep - as above.
You should find that most of the disks of that era have a label on the front that will tell you the capacity so you just need to look and add them up. Note that the capacity shown is un-formatted.
