Hi!
I have HP EVA 6000 storage System connected to Blade 860i running HP-UX 11.31.
I have created host, virtual disk folder and virtual disks with correct WWN that I matched with output from HP-UX server (fcmsutil):
fcmsutil /dev/fcd4
N_Port Node World Wide Name = 0x5001438021de45d1
N_Port Port World Wide Name = 0x5001438021de45d0
Driver state = ONLINE
fcmsutil /dev/fcd5
N_Port Node World Wide Name = 0x5001438021de45d3
N_Port Port World Wide Name = 0x5001438021de45d2
Driver state = ONLINE
Driver Version = @(#) fcd B.11.31.1303 Dec 10 2012
ISP Code version = 5.6.5
ISP Chip version = 2
I created virtual Disks folder and created virtual disks and presented LUNs to the host without errors.
On HP-US, I ran insf -e to re-create devices successfully but I do not LUNs presented to HP-UX when I do "ioscan -funC disk" or "ioscan -m dsf".
From command View EVA, I can see port node and devices are presented to the correct server wwn.
syslog.log does not show any device created after presentation.
I have repeated this process on other similar blades successfully, but this is being a problem child.
Any advice will be really helpful.
Thanks

Re: LUN presented successfully but OS does not see them
Is the zoning configured correctly, you can check it in the switch using fcping

Re: LUN presented successfully but OS does not see them
Did you present/unpresent and present the LUN again?
In such case the system will not provide access for security reason, most simple solution is a reboot. Otherwise you can override this setting using scsimgr.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: LUN presented successfully but OS does not see them
Hi Torsten!
Thanks for the reply.
When I created host on EVA, I picked HP-UX as OS and picked WWN that corresponds to "N_Port Node World Wide Name".
I had rebooted the system too, but I did not see LUNs presented to OS.
Thanks

Re: LUN presented successfully but OS does not see them
All!
I unpresented/represented the lun and rebooted the server, this resolved my problem and i am able to see all the luns I presented to the server.
Thanks to all who advised on this issue.
