Hi I'm presented with this message in Command view
you have requested an expansion in the size of the disk. Your change may have a profound effect on the operating system of any host to which this host is presented. If your host OS does not tolerate vdisk expansions click cancel.
Is this the usual message that comes up, and do I have anything to be concerned about if I go ahead and expand the volume?
Thanks

Solution
Yes, this message is typical.
What is the OS that the vDisk is presented to?
Since the EVA does not know or interact with the OS of your servers.. it has no idea of the capabilities of the OS. It is making sure that "YOU" know that the OS can handle an increase in disk size.
As long as the OS can handle the disk size increase, there is nothing to worry about. Typically, most newer OS's handle disk size changes without a problem.

Re: Message when expanding vdisk in command view EVA
The same problem, but vDisk presented to VMWare ESXi 5 OS. Can I safely increse disk size?
