Mounting a Business Copy with EVMS2
Hi All,
Following is the setup.
Two Database Cluster Nodes - DL580G5 - Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2 x86_64
Backup Server - DL380G5 - Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2 x86_64 - running HP Data Protector 6
HP EVA 4400 Storage with 2TB Business Copy License
Problem.
The database cluster nodes are presented LUNs from the EVA and these LUNs use EXT3 file system and EVMS2 as the Volume Manager.
When we create a secondary volume (business copy) from the EVA and present it to the Backup Server we are unable to mount the Secondary LUN
Are there any special commands to mount such a LUN where it uses EVMS2 for volume management?
Any ideas much appreciated.
Regards,
Shiraj.

Re: Mounting a Business Copy with EVMS2
We were able to mount the volume after performing an "evms_metadata_restore"

Shiraj.
