P6000 - Diffrence between 0953x000 and 09534000 ??

Hi, We want to upgrade an EVA 4400 from 09004000 to XCS 10000000

Looking at the compatability reference here, it says that 09004000 to  0953x000 is supported, i suppose that XCS 09534000 is included in the "x"

what is confusing is that fr XCS 09534000 to XCS 10000000 it says supported, and over 0953x000 is listed without the support mark, at page 14 in this document:

Hey,

I would suppose that in the 'from column' 0953x000 does not include 09534000.

But that 09534000 is included in the 0953x000 in the 'to columns'.

In the from column the 0953x000 would include the releases like 09530000 or whatever they were called.

These you should not be running anymore and you should upgrade to 09534000 before going higher.

Just looking at the compatibility reference I'd say go from 09004000 to 09534000 and then from 09534000 to XCS 10.

Don't forget the Command View upgrades on both any standalone server and the management module.

There are Updating Product Software Guides for the firmwares, it's a good idea to read them.

There were few interim firmwares prior to 09534000 which are no longer supported/available. Hence you should plan to 09534000 first (offline upgrade) and then upgrade to XCS 10000000. XCS 10000000 has many enhancements and it is better to upgrade to this revision.
