Re: Question on command view 9.1
Do not include two EVA ports on one zone unless they are going to be used for replication between those two EVAs.
Create one zone for CV server and each controller port.

Re: Question on command view 9.1
Create a zone for each EVA to be managed that includes the EVA + the CV server.
eg
Zone_1 contains EVA1 & CVSVR
Zone_2 contains EVA2 & CVSVR
Zone_3 contains EVA3 & CVSVR
Unless you are running CA between two EVA do not create a Zone that contains both EVA1 & EVA2.

Re: Question on command view 9.1
Even *if* you are running CA, don't create a common zone. Make a separate 'replication zone'.

Re: Question on command view 9.1
If port X does not sent data to port Y, do not include them on the same zone.
For example, two EVA ports if they are not used for replication, or an EVA port and a tape library port (the EVA does not send data to the library directly). Create one zone for server+EVA, another for server+tape library, another for Command View server+EVA ...
I know it looks like more job to do, but in the end is less, as you'll spend less time wondering why the VmWare hosts are so slow when a you're doing a backup from HP-UX to an Ultrium tape.
