Removing old LUN IDs from AutoPath persistence data.
I'm running HP-UX 11i v1, on an rp4440. There is are 2 EVA 4000 stroage arrays on a SAN presented to this computer.
The HSV 200s are running VCS code 5.030
The rp has the HP Fibre Channel Tachyon TL/TS/XL2 Driver version B.11.11.12 with patch PHSS_31326 installed.
Autopath version A.3.0F.01F.00F, is also installed for load balancing as there are 4 paths per EVA LUN available.
During startup, I'm getting the errors:
AUTOPATH : Retrieval of Load Balance Policy failed for Lun 6005-08B4-0010-7451-0001-6000-????-0000
in my /etc/rc.log files.
The LUNs in question are not longer available. How does one properly remove references to those LUNs from the /opt/HPswsp/perset file?
Also during startup, AutoPath is referencing incomplete or null LUN IDs, e.g.:
AUTOPATH : Retrieval of Load Balance Policy failed for Lun 7451-0001-6000-012E-0000
AUTOPATH : Retrieval of Load Balance Policy failed for Lun 0001-6000-015B-0000
AUTOPATH : Retrieval of Load Balance Policy failed for Lun 6000-015E-0000
AUTOPATH : Retrieval of Load Balance Policy failed for Lun 0169-0000
AUTOPATH : Retrieval of Load Balance Policy failed for Lun 0000
AUTOPATH : Retrieval of Load Balance Policy failed for Lun

How can those also be removed?

Re: Removing old LUN IDs from AutoPath persistence data.
Well, I don't have any problems retrieving previous state data for current and existing LUNs.
AUTODISCOVER already is configured to "ON".
I am not having any problems with "recovery" or "retrieval" operations. I just have old data along with current data in my persistence database. I just need to know how to clean it.
It seems I may have to simply delete and recreate the /opt/HPswsp/perset file, I just need to know if I can do it with autopath running or do I need to stop it first?
Once I do that, is it as simple as running the "autopath set -l -b " on every existing LUN?
Do I need to do this durning down time (I'm running Oracle 9i on this system)?

Re: Removing old LUN IDs from AutoPath persistence data.
It's been about 6 years and I still have this issue.
Anyone have any suggestions?
