Storagework EVA 4400
Hello,
We had HP Storagework EVA 4400 that contained the data for use on 3 servers.
Due to "unauthorized" access, the EVA4400 configuration got deleted which caused all the data loss on that storage.
How could we get the data back or do we have to restore the data back from our Symantec Backup Exec?
Please help.
Best regards
Key

Re: Storagework EVA 4400
if the EVA needs to be initialized, I don't think there is any way to recover the data. Unless someone that has good knowledge of EVA chimes in, I'd suggest you call HPE support

Re: Storagework EVA 4400
Hello KeyHP,
Yes, that would be possible; it seems you have a good back up.
But do we have a copy of the original EVA configuration (like disks part of DGs, VV names, presentation details etc.)?

Re: Storagework EVA 4400
Initialize the EVA, restore your configuration backup and finally restore your data from the host based data backup.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Storagework EVA 4400
Since I do not have the SAN configuration backup, is there a way to get old figuration from deleted SAN?
How long does it take to configure the SAN and how difficult is it?
