Storageworks San Switch 4/32 License Migration

Hi,

I replaced the following switch under warranty and need to migrate the powerpack license to the new serial number.

Serial number : USB636R321
Product number : A7537A

I went to https://webware.hp.com and couldn't find anything relating to my problem.

Please help.

You cannot migrate the license - Hp will have to provide you with a new key for the Serial number - if they replaced the switch under warranty, they should have provided you with the key. Best case is to call HP service, explain and ensure you give previous serial number, license key etc, and they will get the new key generated.

Thanks fot the reply but that website gives the following error:

"We regret that the on-line Software Repair Key tool is unavailable at this time. If you must repair or restore a software on your product, please contact HP Support Services at 800-633-3600."

I did speak to somebody @ HP helpdesk and he will try and resolve my problem.

I've run into this problem several times where webkey wouldn't generate a new license key for my repaired 2/32 switch. The seems to be a cronic problem with webkey.

I kept pushing the Response Center until they opened a case with Brocade to generate the license.
