Update Brocade switch web interface unable to load

I have upgraded Brocade switch from v6.1.0d to the newly released v6.2.0b. After that procedure switch web interface refused to launch.

Am I alone with this trouble or not?

By the way - it works with Firefox, but not with IE7.

Re: Update Brocade switch web interface unable to load

You can clear your java application cache.

Go to control panel->Java-> settings-> temporary files and delete the applications.

This will force it to download the 6.2 client app.

THis worked for me, when I updated two switches in a row, and one got stuck with the 5.3 app and wouldn't start.

Also, I used filezilla as the FTP server and my upgrades started working. was using IIS/FTP.

Re: Update Brocade switch web interface unable to load

Aleksey,

Did the clearing of the java cache fix you problem?

I have experienced the same issue:

In summary performed upgrades from 6.1.0h to 6.2.0a and found that I was unable to browse to webtools. Then upgraded 6.2.0d same thing. I am using windows XP and IE7.

I tried upgrading java to 1.6 update 12 and update 13. Same problem.

Used another windows system with IE 6 and was able to browse to webtools. Loaded Firefox on the system having the trouble and found that I was able to browse to webtools.

Thinking that IE7 may be the issue, I cleared all the IE browser history files and still had the problem. I think I did what you described clearing the java cache, but will check again.
