booting in the SAN with a Alpha Server DS10
Hi ! I'm working with a group of alpha servers, I have configured the strorage works of these servers with the controller HSG80, therefore I have plugged the alpha server to the Storage Works with optical fiber in order to booting in the SAN.
When I try to initialize the protocole wwidmgr since the alpha server ds10 in the screen I should have something like this:
P00>>>wwidmgr -show adapter
item adapter WWN Cur. Topo Next Topo
pga0.0.0.4.6 - Nvram read failed.
[ 0] pga0.0.0.4.6 1000-0000-c921-0c22 FABRIC UNAVAIL
pgb0.0.0.8.6 - Nvram read failed.
[ 1] pgb0.0.0.8.6 1000-0000-c921-027a LOOP UNAVAIL
[9999] All of the above.
but In the screen I have only this text:
P00>>>wwidmgr -show adapter
item adapter WWN Cur. Topo Next Topo
as if the server don't find any adapter..
may be I plugged the optical fiber incorrectly but someone could help me??
I thing I must insert a Fiber Channel IP adresse in order to relate the server with the Storage works.. but I'm not sur of where to take this adresse..
