how to simulate a failure on EVA to verify that the IRS works

Hi everyone,

Somebody knows how to simulate a failure on EVA P6500 to verify that the IRS is working, i mean, without provoke a hardware failure like taking off one cable or something like that, if there is a way to do it from the command view.

thank you in advance

Sure; go into CV and a diskgroup, and set the threshold level to very low; that will generate an alert. You can also go in to command line and write wccproxy test, verify communication between cms and CV server.

With CV-EVA 9.3 and newer select an active EVA. Then under "System Options" click on "Perform remote service test".
