msa2012i 16 host limitation

The msa2012i is documented as having a 16 host limit. Does this mean 16 physical hosts and the ability to use many more virtual hosts or does the virtual instance count as one host as well.

My guess is that they really mean "16 iSCSI initiators".

A virtual machine that uses a software initiator within the guest OS counts as a host. A virtual machine that exclusively uses an emulated parallel SCSI adapter (like VMware ESX' Buslogic or LSIlogic) does not count against that limit.
