possible performance issue on MSA2012sa - How to troubleshoot
Hi,
we have a MSA2012sa connected to 2 clustered DL380 servers running windows 2003 UDS server (out of the box, patched up) and it appears we have an issue with performance. this box has 12 x 1TB disks runing at 7,200 and is carved into a 6TB section and a 4TB section. section 1 has 4 luns, (quorum, 3 data volumes) and the second has 2 luns of 2TB each so far. all diasks are RAID5. the disk is a very large file store for windows and our users map to it via root shares and go from there. IOPS and bandwidth are low on the MSA device, can anyone tell me how to go about troubleshooting this device or its host windows boxes, i have tried everything i know (replace AV, backup schedule changes etc..) to no avail, i dont fully understand the stats that are produced in the graphs int he MSA management. can anyone tell me what is a good IOP & bandwidth usage?
sorry about the numpty questions.
Thanks
Gav
