Re: reorganize redundant storage sets (RSS) EVA8000
the principle is the following:
ungroup the disk in the "bad bay" and ungroup the disk in a "good bay" one at a time and then mutualy swap them - group the "good bay" first and then the "bad bay"
ungroup the disk in the "bad bay" and ungroup the disk in a "good bay" one at a time and then mutualy swap them - group the "good bay" first and then the "bad bay"
the pain is one part of the reality

Re: reorganize redundant storage sets (RSS) EVA8000
I think it is not a good, it is not very flexible, because the default and automatic is always 8 physical disks in the new RSS (therefore the recommendation is to add the disks in the count of 8)
the pain is one part of the reality

Re: reorganize redundant storage sets (RSS) EVA8000
to resume your situation it is not necessary to have RSS with 10 members if you have 10 disk enclosures. Hence the physical disk count of 8 in each RSS is sufficient to give you full verticality. The only problem would be if you allow to create the RSS with 11 members to which you dont have enough enclosures, which is very unprobable if you group the disks in 8.
the pain is one part of the reality
