2545 Printer

I have a 2545 printer.  I just changed the print cartridge and I get a very small red light blinking.  The printer won't print.  The web site doesn't offer any help, it refers me to a forum.  I understand the modern age...but I'll be rid of HP products soon.  Apparently the pictures on the control panel make sense to someone, but not a peson that can actually read.  Sure wish HP used native english speakers when supporting their equipement, maybe I could communicate with them...oh wait, HP doesn't use anyone on any phone support system.  What a terrible company.
