APM - Parent Propagation with two CIT that have the same KPIs

Hi,

We have 2 CIT  example Type A and Type B

Both CIT (A and B) are viewed on 360 View under the same parent and both have the same KPIs.  We want to see both in the Dashboard 360View but we only want the CI Status A (type A) to affect Parent CI and not CI Status B (type B).   Is there a way without creating more KPIs to accomplish this task?  Or would API be the best alternative?
