Critical Alert Emails contain links that do not work in any browser

I received a support alert email this morning from alerts@alerts.hp.com.  It contained one critical and one routine alert.  Neither of the links function in IE, Chrome or Firefox.  Not a firewall problem or a local setting or configuration issue.  Response to Critical Alert URL: HP Notebook System BIOS Update (ver F.61 A) is:

 
This page can’t be displayed
  • Make sure the web address http://alerts.hp.com is correct.
  • Look for the page with your search engine.
  • Refresh the page in a few minutes.
  • Check that all network cables are plugged in.
  • Verify that airplane mode is turned off.
  • Make sure your wireless switch is turned on.
  • See if you can connect to mobile broadband.
  • Restart your router.

Please advise... there are no links for users that have issues like this anywhere in the email or in support.  That might be a good idea I'm thinking for occasions such as this.
