HP sold me a system and now I can't even register the software!!!
I live in PUERTO RICO and I decided to purchase a POS bundle
(rp5000) online for my new retail store. When I received the system I tried to register
the Microsoft POS software that came with it, but a
Microsoft service rep informed me that the system (including
their software) was not supposed to be sold in Puerto Rico, so
they are not going to allow me to register the software.
Apparently Hewlett Packard was not supposed to sell me this
system in the first place!! One of the main reasons why I
purchased the system was for its POS software and now I can't
even register it! What should I do? Should I just return the
whole thing and ask for a full credit? Is there any way HP can
help me get the right software? I have just spent over $7,000
in HP equipment (printers, computeres, etc.)for my business, I have another 2 HP computers at home, and to be honest, I
am extremely dissapointed and kind of fed up with the service I've received so
far. Did I forget to mention that HP tried to charge almost $5,000 for shipping and handling for the POS? I haven't even been able to get a final invoice with the correct price!!!
PS: For those who are wondering, Puerto Rico is a US territory?...we're in the Caribbean? close to the Virgin Islands?...oh, I give up!
