wifi is not working in linux

I am using hp paviloion ab032tx. I tried to dual boot linux(kali linux) with windows.

But wifi is not working in linux. Signal strenght appears to be very low. If the wifi router is very near,  Its showing 3-4 signal bars . If the router is in next room, linux is not even detecting the network. I couldnt find any solution for this. My friends also facing the same problem in hp laptops.
