Community Categories

Please explain the categories used in the user community (what should we expect to be in each)?   I am looking for Service Anywhere problems/solutions/ideas - and have no clue which category those might be in.

Greg - the "top level" categories are one way to navigate to a specific topic/board, but in a case like this where you may not be clear on where something resides, you can always use the search feature.  

In this case, Service Anywhere is located within our "Software" category, and you can find the Q&A board here.

OK - one link looks useful is "http://community.hpe.com/t5/Service-Anywhere/ct-p/service-anywhere" - buy I have no idea how to get there using the categories - or other buttons.  Are you saying I have to search to find this?  Also - within that page are "Service Anywhere: Q&A (1514)" and "Service Anywhere: Learn (81)" - what is the difference?

Also - seems to be multiple places to put comments about the community page itself.  I'm not fnding it very intuitive at all as to how to navigate it.

If you want to learn the hierarchy AFTER you've used search to find it, you can look at the breadcrumbs at the top of the page.

Learn is about the documentation and is Read/only.  Also at the top of each board is a description to what it's about.

There are two methods of contacting the admins here. One of them, on the Quick Links menu as "Contact Us", is an email generator. It will go to the team that supports all functions of the community. You would use this for direct requests for the admins, not of general interest to all community members.

The second method, and there are two different ways to access it, is the Feedback and Suggestions board (this one). We call it "Tell us what you think" and "Feedback", but the two links end up the same place. By using two different terms, we hope to get more people using these. Feedback and suggestions about the community itself belong here. But not product questions. 

Why not product questions? Posting product questions to the Feedback and Suggestions board may actually delay your answers, because the experts aren't here, looking for questions to answer. They are in the product and solutions boards, and the admins have to move posts into the proper locations to get them answered.
