Re: Forum feedback

Hi mods,

some more feedback:
What's about 'Top-Threads' which will always be at the top of an item (so you call it now, right?) - like Bill's:
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/General/Favorite-ITRC-Forums-threads/td-p/4782853

Next:
Why is there no more difference between threads I opened and such I answered to?
It was difficult to find for example this one again ...

V.

P.S. Any new feedback to my first suggestions?

Re: Forum feedback

... and why do I have to go to profile editing to see my bookmark?
They should be at my top site ('Community Home')!

Re: Forum feedback

So to stay in the content on the community, you would like to see a link to your bookmarks in the "User Settings area"  which is on the right side of the page?  By clicking on this will give you a list of your bookmarks.

Or would you want to see a list of all your bookmarks on the page. If you have many bookmarks that would make the page very long. Just want to understand who you see this being presented in the community, before I do some investigation.

Re: Forum feedback

I think a link to my bookmarks in the "User Settings area" would be fine (also for my subscriptions)

I don't know how other users think about this.

Maybe you can repeat it in the user home page too

v.Nyga>>  PLEASE - stop auto-logout  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     It's ANNNOOOYYYINNGGGG

Agreed.

v.Vyga>> (Instead of solved posts)

Agreed. 'Solved post' is surely there to please clueless management.

I don't see how it can be useful for real users.

If you do keep it, then make it consistent with DATE, Reply and kudo count.

Thinking outside the box...

How come this new fangled interface does not have user configurable sections anyway, like iGoogle, my-yahoo and many more (which btw all let you stay logged in for weeks!)

Bill Groot>> in the "User Settings area"  which is on the right side of the page?

There I  only see "

Oh wait ... that would be due to the crappy auto-logged tp please managent, **bleep** the actual users.

Now that i pissed you of sufficiently....

Can I please get the "view all - recent topics" button way on top of the page.

It would preferably be instead of the management homage 'Join the converstation'.

Such button would actually encourga me to join the conversation, instead of hindering me to get there such as the smiley faces achieve.

Thinking in the box... why not make that crappy picture 'hot'  and make it go to "view all - recent topics" when clicked? As present is is use useless fluff. Make it do something!

Finally (for now)... There is Plenty of whitespace in the BROWSE section.

Can I have a that  "view all - recent topics" as a button in there for each entry listed?

Please?

Met vriendelijke groetjes,

Hein

Re: Forum feedback

Hi Bgroot, hi mods,

I want to use this thread for my hints and complains :-)

First follow-up:

1.

I have this strange behaviour - the rows are not shown right (See the attachment)

It seems like it only happens when I'm auto-logged-out (One more reason to stop that :-) )

2.

In a solved thread you have a button 'Solved Go to Solution' - This dark blue text is in a dark grey window -

try to read it with a normal distance to your monitor ....  (Attachment 2)

After a 'quick reply' there's a similar button ....

3.

Your 'Join the Conversation' banner - well it's nice when you start the site, but when I'm logged in - well then I've joined the conversation.

Please, please can this disappear after login?

We need the space for the threads ....

Regards

Volkmar

What browser are you seeing this behavior in?  And it only happens when you're not logged in, is that correct?

We've identified this issue with Lithium and are hoping we can get the coloring changed to make that message readable.

Fair suggestion - I will ask the UI folks if this is possible.

I work for HPE.
