Warning: Uresponsive script

For some hours, all attempts to refresh a Forum page have caused
Firefox on Mac to hang, with a pop-up box:

   Warning: Uresponsive script
   Script: http://www8.hp.com/uk/en/system/include/privacy_cookie.JS:1841

Any particular page?  The forum seems to be working for me.

Seems to be any/every Forum page.  On two different Macs (OS 10.10.5
and 10.11, with Firefox 41.0.1 ("up to date")).  Activity Monitor shows
"% CPU" jumping to above 100%, then the spinning beachball appears,
followed by the pop-up box.  Clicking on "Stop script" seems to restore
proper operation (until the next page-load).

I'm on that version but no problems on Windows 7.

I'm now at Firefox 41.0.2 everywhere.  Still bad on the Mac systems,
but no similar trouble seen under Windows 10.  Something goofy in the
JavaScript, I assume, but what do I know?

Today the problem seems to have vanished.
