Where is the "Plain Text" option?

How can we type in Plain Text?

And whenever I quote someone, the font gets ridiculously huge.

Is this actually expected behavior or am I having some problems on my side?

I'm not sure there is such an option.

I manually quote and sometimes use a firefox add-on, Copy Plain Text.  Or you can use the Font Sizes menu to change the size.  When I quoted your text, the fonts looked like the same size.  But when posted it is larger:

It sure looks like it.

Re: Where is the "Plain Text" option?

Since a quote essentially serves as a second title (or sub-title) to a reply post, displaying it in a larger font makes sense. It is indeed a platform default.

Re: Where is the "Plain Text" option?

We have added a new function to the editor, that looks like an underlined "T" with a subscript "x" (Tx that clears formatting. While this won't change all platform defaults, it is useful in cases like these.
