I can offer a couple of recommendation.

First, don't upgrade, cold-install. It gives you the opportunity to start with a clean slate, resize all your root file systems, and, in general, gives you a known starting point. Your other VG can then simply be vgimported and you're all set.

Second, don't bother with 11.23, go directly to version 3 (11.31). The end of support date for v2 is the same as v1, you're gaining nothing.

"... go directly to version 3 (11.31) ..."

But only if your system supports this.

My preferred way for going from 11.11 to 11.23 is doing a cold install.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Hi

If you don't have any dependency then do cold installation. But if you still want to upgrade then refer following document.
