64 bit COBOL on RHEL 4.5

Has anyone sucessfully installed 64 bit cobol on RHEL AS 4.5 - 64-bit?
I am a bit over my head on this question and I am really asking it for one of my dba's. We are migrating from OPEN VMS to linux for the oracle database.
