A5158A 2 prot Tachyon Fiber Card issue
I have a bit of an issue involving this card.
HP-UX 11i v1. on A-Class server.
Basically, The card seems to be working fine, has the latest driver and all the patch requirements. But our EMC disk array is not picking it up.
The Card does log into the switch and we have ruled out zoning issues. Also the Disk array is in production and I can add other hosts to it.
My issue really is that either there is a problem with the EMC software on the array recognising this card, or there is a problem with this card.
Any ideas on how I might test the card? Verify it works? Or any ideas what the problem might be?
(PS I have a case open with EMC but doesnt seem to be progressing at all)

Re: A5158A 2 prot Tachyon Fiber Card issue
Hi Alan,
Can you confirm if this card is A5158A? It is a single port card.
The A5158A Fibre Channel host bus adapter is a PCI Tachlite single port adapter. It operates at 1 Gb speed in a 2x PCI slot.
A5158A supports arbitrated loop and fabric topologies. A fabric topology
allows public TL hosts to access devices attached to a switch (fabric).
verify using the fcmsutil about the card status. You can also post the fcmsutil output here.
With regards,
Mohan.
