ASM Disk

Hi All,
Am new in Oracle DBA.i WANT TO KNOW SOMETHING RELATED TO RAC instalation.
How to create asm disk in HPUX. and how to find it out the asm disk is created? Is there in command line /gui utility check the asm disk.
As per the Oracle document i created ASM disks in the Clustered volume(i doubt its right or not).Now i want too find it out the the created volumes are asm disk or not?


Here i installed the hpux 11i v2 on two rx3600 servers and clustered.My storage is EVA 8000.

Please help me....

You do it with raw disk.

I recommend you learn how to do this without the gui (sam)

Basically, lvcreate,lvextend, change ownerhip to oracle user and don't do newfs.

I've not heard the greatest reports about Oracle ASM, you may find just regular raw disk without ASM is easier to grasp and complete.
