Add new file system from EVA

Dear All,

I am new to HP Unix.

I am using HP-UX 11.31 and EVA.

I want to add two new file system as /oracle/dev - 100 gb and /oracle/mnt - 50gb.

What are the steps to create thease two file system ?

I am aware about EVA command view and able to create vdisk from there.

Basic steps are:

Present the disk to server.
ioscan
insf
ioscan
pvcreate
mkdir (volume group)
mknod
vgcreate
lvcreate
fsadm
mount the FS

Shalom,

The basic process is this:

1) Use the EVA control station to create the LUN and present it to the 11.31.server. This must include configuration for the WWN, World wide name of the HBA card.

2) As noted the new disk should show up on ioscan, but you may need to boot to make it visible.

3) pvcreate,lvcreate,newfs

4) Set up a permanent mount point in /etc/fstab
