Attempting an install of B.11.23 on a rx2660

I should probably preface this with: I'm new to HP-UX.

I keep getting the following message when I try to install:

"There were no disks found during the IO scan. You will need to
correct any hardware problems and either use the "Scan Again" button,
or reboot and try again."

I've tried pointing the monitor towards the server so that it can see that there are drives installed. (No, not really)

I can see the drives in the EFI shell by issuing a "map" command. I can even boot to a previously installed version of HP-UX (previously-owned system, and the version booting is: [HP Release B.11.31]).

Is it possible the version I'm trying to install doesn't have a driver for the SAS drives installed in the system?

If I recall correctly, SAS was indeed added in a later release as the first servers with SAS appeared in early 2007 or so. So unless you want to install 11iv3, your best bet would be to try to install the December 2007 update of 11iv2.

What is the date printed on your DVD media?

Did you try the "Scan again" option?

Minimum release was september 2006, IIRC.

The media is dated June 2006. I'll try some newer media, (as soon as our home office sends it to me) and I'll post an update with the results.

We decided to go ahead and acquire the latest 11.31 install media, which has resolved the issue.
