Auto Logoff

Auto Logoff

I set the autologoff by setting "export TMOUT=60" in .profile file.If the user
is login into the Unix then to Oracle Application, the autologoff is not
working.Even after a minute without any interaction with shell the user is
still in the system. When I do "finger -i | grep username " ,I can see the user
is
idle passed the TMOUT time.(In this case 60 second).
Any idea how to solve this problem.

Re: Auto Logoff

Setting TMOUT only affects the shell itself. Other applications, like Oracle,
are free to examine TMOUT and also respect it, but few applications do.
