Automatic power off / power on without PowerTrust UPS?

Hello all,

I'm looking for a solution that will allow us to have our machines power themselves down and then bring themselves back up at a certain time. It's my understanding that the power_onoff command will accomplish this, but only if you're using HP PowerTrust UPS with your systems. We don't have the PowerTrust UPSs, so is there some other alternative?
