BUG: ps comand prints out '0' for rss
K580
4GB RAM
Can someone log a bug against ps?
I have no idea how to submit a bug to HP.
I am seeing ps printing out zeroes for the rss
and can only surmise that it is a bug.

Could you include some sample output of what you are seeing with the ps command?

Re: BUG: ps comand prints out '0' for rss
Don't use glance, I've been told that glance
can be used to gather info into txt files
but I don't know how to do that. So I don't use glance.
HP needs to write something like vsar that
runs on solaris. The pstat interface would
be the right way to write a tool like vsar.
FWIW vsar is similar to "top" as you can
watch things as they happen (almost), it produces
lots of output. Not limited to:
context switching, paging, memory, etc. I think it
reports on ~600 pieces of info.
BTW
Why did HP decide to re-invent newsgroups
with this cumbersome interface!?!
