Backup Recovery Errors using frecover

If anybody could supply me a possible solution to recover some datafiles from a tape backup that keeps giving the following error messages,I would be extremely grateful.
I can't stress enough how important an immediate response would be. Thanks,

frecover(1001): file trailer does not match file header for
> frecover(1002): file /newdisk/group2/oradata/LWSN/test01.dbf
> frecover(1045): error in trailer recovery

Re: Backup Recovery Errors using frecover

Found the following in the TKB.
http://europe-support.external.hp.com/cki/bin/doc.pl/sid=f9c442e3104032ae87/screen=ckiSearchResults

Problem Description

I am trying to frecover files from a backup tape through SAM,
but I am getting these errors:

frecover (1001)file trailer does not match the header
frecover (1002)
frecover (1045) error in trailer recovery

The tape drive is a HP DLT4000D. The fbackup log file doesn't indicate that there were any problems with the backup. The errors don't always occur at the same point in the recovery. I can read the tape fine on a DLT on another system. The DLT has been replaced,
but the problem still occurs.

What is causing this problem?

Configuration Info

Operating System - HP-UX
Version - 10.10
Hardware System - HP9000
Series - K420

Solution

This problem is occurring because the DLT is sharing the SCSI-bus with too many other devices. By removing the disc drives
and leaving only the DLT on this bus, the problem will be solved.
