Re: Banner issue in FTP
Of course, we non-psychics have approximately
no idea of what "the application" is really
trying to do. Or why. If "the application"
is getting confused by a "Connected to"
message which comes from an interactive FTP
client, then "the application" would seem to
have some strange and complex scheme to use a
particularly difficult way to get a file from
somewhere to somewhere else. There exist
programs like wget (and wput) and libraries
like cURL which can handle FTP file transfers
without using an interactive FTP client
program. But, knowing nothing about your
actual requirements, it's hard to offer any
specific recommendations.
You seem to be asking how to make a rope so
that you can use it to climb a mountain, when
you should be asking for directions to the
nearest airport. When your starting point
and destination are secrets, people tend to
answer the questions which you ask, not the
questions which you should ask.
