C3000 Install problem with 11i

Hello experts,

I just picked up a used C3000 for development work. It came with 11.0 preloaded. I'm trying to load 11i 9/2003 and the install hangs before I get to the keyboard selection menu. I've used this media to install a C3600 and that went fine. My firmware is at 5.0 and all of the peripherals are plugged in, including network. Any thoughts?

Hi Ray,

Since 11.0 is loaded, boot it & run stm & check the entire system. May have a HW problem somewhere. If the STM suite isn't loaded then install the OnlineDiag product from your depot or off the 11.0 CDs.

Hi Jeff,

stm diaagnostics showed a failure on the FX4 graphics card. After running the diags, the monitor stays in sleep mode. I've contacted the seller and I'll see if I can get a replacement. Hopefully this will fix my 11i install problem.

You can proceed with installation using "hyper terminal" in Thinkpad or windows pc.
