CDE (dtwm) works very slowly on HP Integrity rx2800 servers

Hi!

We’ve just purchased 2 HP Integrity rx2800 servers and installed HP-UX 11i v3 on them. Everything is OK, but CDE (dtwm) works very slowly:  when we login to the servers using an HP thin client it takes noticeably a lot of time to display login window and to display application windows after logging in.

We have never had such an issue while using HP PA-RISC servers: they are accessible from the same HP thin client though the same network and CDE works fine displaying windows without noticeable delays.

We connected monitors, keyboards and mice to the servers and tried to use CDE locally, but we met the same issue.

Have anybody ever met the same issue? How can it be solved?

Hi,

The issue was solved by upgrading patch PHKL_41700(fs_select cumulative patch 1.0) to PHKL_41967.
