CDE is not getting open

I am getting the following message once i installed the HP-UX OS.

*Press [Enter] for a login prompt

**********************************************

it strucks in this point, not moving to CDE.I am not getting wat is the problem here.
Can anybody please help me.

can you describe your hardware and os a bit more?

You can login after '*Press [Enter] for a login prompt'?

Check the log files in /var/adm/syslog and /var/X11/Xserver/logs.

'uname -a' works?
'hostname' works?

Hi,
There may some reason

1.May be some files are missing,
2.Maybe you monitor is a text term!
3.Did you tried through any 3rd part software like Reflection or X-terminal

You may either need to reinstall CDE


Check the Xerrors file and syslog.log file for some error
