CDE no longer working

The CDE isn't starting on the console. I have attached the Xerrors file, for what that's worth. I have tried rebooting, to no effect.

O/S B11.11 on a B1000, "C" locale.

Any clues where to look next would be appreciated.

Check the permissions of /var/spool/sockets

permissions 777

afterwards remove the sockets and reboot

# rm /var/spool/sockets/X11/*.

Stephen,

Any recent changes to hostname or IP address. CDE is extremely dependant on proper hostname resolution.

Permissions on /var/spool/sockets were 777.
I removed the contents of /var/spool/sockets/X11 and rebooted ... and ... it worked a treat. Thanks!

The contents look exactly the same as they did before (same files, sizes, owner/group/permssions) , but CDE works now. I don't understand, but I've got other things to worry about. Once again thanks, I'll allocate you some points.
