CSB-6 IDE RAID on DL330 G3 running RedHat ES 3.0

Hi, I am trying to get RedHat Advanced Server 3.0 to detect the IDE RAID controller (CSB-6 Ultra ATA-100 IDE RAID) in an Proliant DL330 G3

It does not detect it (or the attached IDE drives at all, no matter the raid config I try.

I see that there are drivers available for this controller for RedHat AS2.1 but not for AS3.0
The AS2.1 link is here: http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/19570.html

If you have a link to the AS3.0 version, please let me know.

Thanks
Imel

If you want a 'certified' machine you better follow strictly rh/hp policy on hp site and avoid getting rpms from "unkown" ;-).
Maybe the following link could help

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/linux/hpLinuxcert.html

else you can try downloading a new kernel and rebuild.

Red Hat will not detect that hardware. It has to either be set up prior to installation with a utility from the manufacturer.

If there is a driver for AS 3.0 then you can follow those instructions and get it detected.

I've run into similar issues with highpoint-tech's rocket-raid cards. Either you write your own driver or you wait for them to publish one.

The problem is there is no device drivers for RH 3, only for 2.1, so I am pretty stuffed it seems.
