Then you can't (or at least shouldn't) get a soft copy of the HP-UX CSE book - you have to buy the hard copy.

Knowing the author, and knowing how little money he's made from writing this book, you can imagine how it makes me feel when I see people requesting soft (i.e. free) copies of his book.

It's copyrighted material - you need to purchase it.
