Can't boot hp-ux off Symmetrix

HP N4000, Two Symmetrix systems connected via SRDF. N4000 R1 boot disk mirrored to Symmetrix LUN. Symmetrix R1 LUN mirrored to Symmetrix R2 LUN (via SRDF). split SRDF link (split R2 from R1), connected second N4000 to split R2 boot LUN. running "hp-ux -lq -is" to boot. boot image looks like it is loaded, but message comes back as no quorum on vg00, cannot activate vg00, then system panics. This method worked about 5 months ago. The only thing that has changed was we added disk to the Symmetrix systems recently (about 2 months ago). Any ideas?
If you can focus your eyes far and straight enough ahead of yourself, you can see the back of your head.

Was that a typo or really hp-ux -lq -is .
Try just hpux -lq .

Re: Can't boot hp-ux off Symmetrix

Problem resolved, the root cause was very interesting. For R2 host, we needed to install the boot SCSI card in the same slot as the R1 host - so the HW boot path was the same for the R1 and R2 hosts. We also brought the system up in LVM maintenance mode, as suggested by the replies, and we could export and import the root VG - exporting and importing vg00 appears to be the solution if you use different HW boot paths in this architecture.
