Hi,
last weekend the summertime started.
One old computer, HP-UX 7.03 A, didn't switch to summertime yet, but will do so end of April (I hope).
In which file can I write/change the beginning/end of summertime to the end of march manually?
In which file is it in HP-UX 10.20 (just for information-here it is ok)?
Thanks for answering,

Re: Change to summertime/wintertime in HP-UX
I use internet time services to keep the times of the workstation in my cluster correct using a cron job once an hour (in Germany you can use ptbtime1.ptb.de or ptbtime2.ptb.de). Then you don't have to take care about summertime/wintertime.
Bye, Thomas

Re: Change to summertime/wintertime in HP-UX
UX 7.03? Gee, I thought I was a bit behind for still having a 9.07 machine.
I am surprised that you did not have any Y2K issues, or maybe you did and they were minor.
Time zones have changed over the years and newer operating systems with patches have kept up with them.
As others said, change that /etc/tztab to reflect what is current on 10.20 or 11.x.
Maybe we need to start an opinion poll to see who has the oldest OS still running?
