Re: Changing summer time

Changing summer time

Good Morning!
How is the correct way to change the summer time on HP-UX for Brazilian users?
Thanks!

Re: Changing summer time

I think the best way is to set system time as UTC time and set system default TimeZone(/etc/TIMEZONE) to that of most users, maybe Brazilian. And then set each user of a different timezone by his/her profile.
Please see from TZ of "man environ".

Re: Changing summer time

if your timezone is correctly set, it should work .

You can check in /usr/lib/tztab for the definition.
If there is no entry define one.

Don't play with date to set the date else you will be in trouble
